NEW IN 2022: Since the first tournament, we have donated $20 from each participant's fee to the local chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure—totaling over $15,000 raised for breast cancer research.

In 2022, we decided to broaden our impact on the community and donate a portion of each participant's fee to The Upstate Foundation. The Upstate Foundation was founded in 1976 as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation. The corporation is a public charity designed to receive and administer gifts and bequests exclusively for charitable purposes with a focus on (1) the provision of patient health care, (2) the education of health care providers, (3) scientific research, and (4) community health and wellbeing. The Upstate Foundation is also the primary vehicle for receiving and distributing philanthropic gifts for Upstate Medical University. We presented a check in the amount of $1,800 to the foundation, and we're excited to partner with them again in 2023.
